Two new phones, that's what Xiaomi brings us today. They're the Redmi 9T and the Redmi Note 9T. The latter is Xiaomi's first Redmi Note with support for 5G. And it's also the cheapest 5G phone from Xiaomi released so far.
The Xiaomi Redmi 9T is a 6.53 inch smartphone with large 6000 mAh battery. On the back there are four different cameras: a 48MP main camera, 8MP ultra wide angle, 2MP macro and 2MP depth camera. The Redmi 9T is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor.
Xiaomi ships the Redmi 9T in the colours Carbon Grey, Twilight Blue, Sunrise Orange and Ocean Green with a starting price of 169 euro. The base model has 4GB of RAM memory and 64GB of storage. 128GB of storage sets you back 199 euros.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9T: first Redmi Note with 5G
Since names have no meaning at all for Xiaomi, the Redmi Note 9T also has a 6.53-inch display. Here instead of a notch we find a punch-hole for the 8MP selfie camera. Xiaomi also applies the newer and more scratch and drop resistant Gorilla Glass 5 instead of version 3 on the Redmi 9T. On the back we find not 4 but 3 cameras; a 48MP main camera, 2MP depth and 2MP macro.
The Redmi Note 9T features the MediaTek Dimensity 800U. This is a 7nm based processor and many times faster than the chipset found in its predecessor. But that's not what's most special, that's the presence of 5G support. And with a recommended retail price of 229 euros, it is also the cheapest 5G phone that Xiaomi currently sells. For this, you get 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. For 128GB of storage an also decent 269 euros is asked. Available colours are Nightfall Black and Daybreak Purple.
