Samsung broadcasts advertising Galaxy Z Flip during Oscar ceremony

One day before it was officially announced, Samsung broadcast an advertisement of the Galaxy Z Flip. An advertisement of Samsung's folding device was broadcast during the Oscar ceremony.

The broadcasting of an advertisement for a telephone even before it has been announced is quite special. Telecom manufacturers usually keep their jaws firmly together when it comes to unannounced products. The Galaxy Z Flip is however an exception. A lot of material from the device leaked out anyway, so Samsung must have thought that it couldn't do much harm anyway.

In the 27-second advertisement we see one function in particular: the ability to collapse the device. Yet we are learning a new function. The secondary screen appears to be touch sensitive. There were rumours about that, but we didn't have any clarity about it until now.

Specifications Samsung Galaxy Z Flip

The Z Flip features a 6.7-inch Infinity Flex screen unfolded, with a 1.06-inch Alway On screen on the outside. Inside, we take into account a Snapdragon 855+ processor with 8 GB of RAM working memory and 256 GB of storage memory. In terms of battery you'll have to make do with a 3300 mAh copy, which is a bit tight considering the screen size. Whether we know everything about the device or whether Samsung still has surprises in store for us, we will have to find out on Tuesday February 11th. Then he'll be officially announced.
