We may be getting our very first look at the Motorola edge 30 Ultra today. The next high-end flagship from parent company Lenovo is going to look very different than its predecessor.
If the rumours are true, that is. And since the images come from the usually reliable @onleaks we have little reason to believe otherwise. One thing is remarkable though. Motorola has never released an Ultra version of its Edge series before and this should be the first model with a Snapdragon 898 processor.
Personally, we were quite charmed by the looks of the edge 20Pro, but Lenovo is already taking another direction. By looking at the image above, the edge 30 Ultra gets its own distinct look with a revamped and rounded camera module.
Edge 30 Ultra specifications
Remarkably, the source also mentions some specifications. Starting with a Snapdragon 898 processor. This is somewhat strange because Motorola currently does not use the Snapdragon 888 or 888+ at all. Perhaps that one will be skipped entirely. According to the source, the camera consists of a 50MP main camera, 50MP ultra wide angle and 2MP depth camera.
The most megapixels are found at the front. Motorola is reportedly applying a 60MP selfie camera. That sounds like overkill to us but we like to be surprised. Inside we find a 5000 mAh large battery that can be quick charged with 68W. If that's true then the edge 30 Ultra can be charged considerably faster than many of its competitors.

The launch of this Motorola edge 30 Ultra is not expected before 2022. However, we probably won't have to wait very long either. Some sources are thinking of early 2022 as a possible launch date.
