The iPhone SE is Apple's answer to the still high demand for 4-inch sized iPhones. In a world where smartphones are getting bigger and bigger, the iPhone SE is a remarkably compact smartphone that will appeal especially to the early iPhone fans.
4-inch alternative
Many long-time iPhone users swear by 4 inches. Apple's move to 4.7 inches didn't go for much. They stuck with the iPhone 5S which is the last 4-inch iPhone. With the introduction of the iPhone SE, this group of users get a better alternative and a good reason to finally upgrade. The Apple iPhone SE has pretty much the same looks as the iPhone 5s but the similarities stop there. Especially inside, the differences are big. There is a new power source that also controls the iPhone 6s. The A9 processor is 2x faster than the chip in the iPhone 5s and in terms of graphical power it is even 3x more powerful. This makes it easy to play the toughest games. Also new is the NFC chip that enables the Apple Pay payment service.
Camera with Live Photos
On the back is a 12 megapixel iSight camera that can record video in 4K quality. The camera on the iPhone SE also supports the new Live Photos function that can bring your most beloved photos to life. Another interesting feature is the panorama mode, which can turn multiple photos into one big picture. Anyone who luvs taking selfies will luv the Retina Flash function. This function allows the monitor to briefly light up very brightly to provide extra exposure.

As is often the case, the entry-level model of the iPhone SE is only 16 GB in size. That's soon too little. Fortunately, Apple also announced a larger 64 GB version. Strangely enough, those are the only choices at the moment, there is no bigger one. If you choose the cheaper 16 GB version, think carefully beforehand if this is enough. Apps and iOS itself will soon take up the entire memory. Even when storing photos, videos, and documents in the cloud, think about how much space you'll need in advance because you can't add memory cards.
The Apple iPhone SE immediately means retirement for the 2013 iPhone 5s. This is the new 4-inch model of which Apple will continue to sell 30 million a year by 2016.
