Oppo Find N3 (Open) expected on Oct. 19, costs a fortune

The date for the worldwide launch of the Oppo Find N3 has been announced. The device, already available in China, will be released globally on Thursday, Oct. 19. The price is steep.

All eyes are currently on Oppo. After Apple and Samsung announced their latest devices of the year, the waiting is now on the Oppo Find N3. It is already available in China but not yet globally. That's about to change on Oct. 19. Then the rest of the world will also have their chance to buy this foldable.

Oppo Find N3 global launch

Expectations are high. In terms of design, the Find N3 competes with Samsung's Fold5 and Google's Pixel Fold. It is still unclear exactly what name the device will get. In the U.S., it may get the name "Oppo Open".

Less visible fold

The Oppo Find N3 appears to feature a foldable 7.8-inch OLED screen. Of these, the crease should be less visible than on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, though it is still always noticeable. The outer screen presumably measures 6.31 inches.

Hasselblad camera

Oppo hopes to excel with its Hasselblad cameras on the back. We see three: a 48MP primary, 48MP wide angle, and 64MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom. It will most likely use a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor from Qualcomm with 16GB of RAM memory.

Oppo is launching the Find N3 in Singapore at 14:30 local time. The price is estimated at just under 1,700 US dollars. That's hefty but in line with other similarly designed foldables.
