Nokia, no not that one!, comes out with its own rugged phone

Ever since 2017, Nokia has not been making phones. HMD Global brings Android phones to market with the Nokia branding. But old habits die hard, and now Nokia is releasing a mobile phone of its own again.

In Early 2023, Nokia released a new logo. Customers mistook HMD Global's Nokia phones for Nokia, so there needed to be a better distinction between Nokia and Nokia. HMD Global continued to use the old Nokia logo, Nokia the new one. It couldn't be more clear, you would think.

Now you're wondering what these Nokia HHRA501x and IS540.1 will do against that confusion. Both 5G phones are meant for the business market and are robustly designed. Interesting detail: Nokia no longer has the in-house expertise to design and make phones, so it has turned to i.safe MOBILE for help.

It is not apparent that the Finnish company Nokia will soon release other new Nokia phones. However, we don't dare to rule it out, either. Whether it is wise is another question entirely. Nokia is now mainly developing 5G devices for the business market. It no longer serves the consumer market. But, with today's news, things are becoming much more confusing.
