LG presents new KS500 phone

LG has announced the KS500; a 3.0 megapixel slider with GPS and the first LG device with the optical mouse pointer.

Some people do not like this optical mouse pointer technique. People who haven't tried it before will probably have to get use to it. To go through the menu without looking at the screen, which is easy to do with real buttons, won't be as easy anymore.

Android?
We already met the KS500 on August 23rd when the device received its FCC approval. At that time there were a lot of rumours saying that this could be the first Android based device of LG. (Un)fortunately, that is not the case.

It is a slider device with a built-in 3.0 megapixel camera, that has no flash or autofocus. The device does have a built-in GPS receiver that can also work with A-GPS. To make it even more easy; Yahoo! Go Maps is also added to the phone.

The KS500 is probably only for sell in combination with Vodafone, and is expected to be in stores by the end of this year.
