Nokia 2.3 product description

The Nokia 2.3 is a phone with duo camera for every-day use and with a friendly price tag. It has a large screen, regular Android updates and a special button to activate Google Assistant. We will explain here what you can use it for and what consessions have been made to get to this low price tag.

Large HD screen

The biggest advantage of the Nokia 2.3 is undoubtedly its large screen. For relatively little money, you get a 6.2-inch phone on which a reasonably sharp HD+ images are shown. And because of the modern 19:9 ratio, it all looks nice and modern. The selfie camera is nicely processed in a drop-shaped notch, which makes the screen nice and close to the edge. With this 5 megapixel camera you not only make selfies, you can also unlock your camera with it. And yet this is not the most important camera of the camera.

Dual camera with background blur

We'll find it on the back. The Nokia 2.3 is equipped with a double camera, which is quite special considering this price point. It is a 13 megapixel main camera and a 2 megapixel depth sensor. This combination allows you to take beautiful portrait photos with a blurred background, also known as bokeh. You can adjust the focus yourself, emphasising what you want. The Nokia 2.3 camera is helped by the necessary AI, also known as artificial intelligence. For example, it helps you to shoot the best picture even when you have missed the shot. Scroll back or forward to get that shot. Also useful is the available nite mode. This allows you to take better exposed photos in the dark.

Main Nokia 2.3 specifications

  • 6.2 inch large screen with modern selfie notch
  • Quadcore MediaTek helio A22 processor at 2 GHz and with 2GB of RAM
  • Speedy mobile 4G internet on the go
  • 13 + 2 megapixel camera with Full HD video, bokeh and AI
  • Dualsim support (type nanosim)
  • Slot to expand up to 512GB of memory

The usual shortcomings

Nokia promises a battery life of at least 2 days. A 4000 mAh large battery should ensure this. That sounds generous, but will really not achieve the 2 days when used intensively. If you do it a bit more quietly, it should be possible. Unfortunately, fast charging is not an option and unfortunately charging goes with the now outdated microUSB. Those cables are not exchangeable so it only fits in one way. The storage memory of 32 GB can become a bit cramped in time but is expandable to 512 GB thanks to the presence of a memory card slot. To reduce costs, the housing is made of plastic and the processor comes from MediaTek. This Helio A22 is not known for its powerful performance but for WhatsApp and TikTok it will be more than enough. All these shortcomings are made good by Android One. This operating system will get 2 more years of software updates and 3 more years of security updates.

Pro and cons Nokia 2.3

  • Large screen for little
  • Dual camera
  • 2 days battery life
  • Android One with 3 year updates
  • Built-in processor no powerhouse
